DPC contributes to the Doing Business 2021, prepared by World Bank

Domingues e Pinho Contadores, for the 9th consecutive year, was one of the companies selected to collaborate with information for the Doing Business report, which gives rise to a comparison of the business environment of different countries. The survey is published annually by the World Bank.

“The material is an important guide for investors, as it portrays the complexity or the facility of starting and establishing businesses around the world”, comments João Henrique Brum, director of DPC and respondent of the research by the company.

Tax legislation, access to credit and the process for opening companies in Brazil are always taxed as complex and time consuming when the data are compared to those of other countries. Doing Business gives the true dimension of the challenges of doing business in the country, as it allows the comparison of Brazilian indicators with the numbers of other economies.

At the moment, DPC is already collecting the data to contribute to the 2021 edition of the document. It is worth mentioning items such as the time taken to start a company, preparing corporate acts, obtaining a permit, among other processes. It is also assessed whether the public administration has been implementing measures to facilitate these activities.

The place taken as a reference for the survey is the city of São Paulo, where DPC maintains an office. The company's knowledge and experience regarding administrative procedures for legalizing new businesses are essential to make this contribution feasible.

Doing Business is one of the main publications of the Banco Mundial, and in 2021 it reaches the 18th edition, comparing figures and information from 191 economies.
