New procedures for optional CPOM registration

On June 2, the Municipal Treasury Office published SF Ordinance No. 124/2022, providing for the Registration of Service Providers from Other Municipalities (CPOM), as established under Law 13,701/2003.

The Ordinance outlines the procedures for the optional registration of legal entities that issue invoices approved by other municipalities when dealing with service takers based in the Municipality of São Paulo.

Now, the information required for the registration, update and cancellation of legal entities at the CPOM must be submitted electronically by service providers, through the Municipal Treasury Office’s website, by filling out the "Statement of Service Providers from Other Municipalities - Protocol for registration, update, or cancellation”.

Along with the statements, other relevant documents must be submitted electronically, signed by the company’s legal representative or attorney-in-fact. Registered data can be fully accessed only through digital certification.

Denied requests for registration, update or cancellation will be published in the Official Gazette of the Municipality of São Paulo, and a single appeal may be filed within 15 days from the publication date, using the corresponding denial’s protocol number.
