DPC sponsors cultural, educational and innovative projects
DPC supports social and cultural projects that foster transformation in local communities
Project support by means of the Culture Incentive Act plays a fundamental role in enriching the culture of local communities. As a firm believer in this statement, DPC has been sponsoring efforts of this nature over the past few years.
In line with the core principles of DPC Transforma, its social and environmental responsibility program, the company has fostered activities that have an impact on local communities, especially within its field of operations. Additionally, as a way of spreading positive effects, DPC also assists clients who are interested in supporting those efforts.
These sponsorship networks help create jobs in sectors such as music, theater, cinema, visual arts, literature and many others, contributing to the development of the local economy, while allowing these activities to reach an audience that would not be able to enjoy them otherwise.
Throughout 2023, by means of the Culture Incentive Act, DPC has supported projects that promote access to culture, education and innovation. Find out more about the efforts sponsored in this annual campaign:
Hacktudo – Digital Culture Festival
With a lineup of activities running throughout October, Hacktudo offers an immersion in topics related to technology. This event showcases the culture of innovation and brings together attractions such as: a marathon for designing creative solutions, an interactive exhibit on art and technology, a display of maker projects, innovative workshops, activities with drones and augmented reality. There are also efforts focused on female empowerment through the use technology.
Held since 2017 and with free admission, each edition of the festival has amassed an average of 20,000 attendees, among children, teenagers and adults.
Tack Challenge + Tack Festival
The Desafio Tack (Tack Challenge) helps ignite the entrepreneurial spirit within high school students from government institutions. Based on the methodology of the Innovation Camp Program, run by non-profit NGO, Junior Achievement - the world's largest youth entrepreneurship organization - this competition tasks teams of students with designing innovative solutions to cultural issues. The activity brings together over 250 teenagers from 20 public schools across the country. The winning team is awarded a trip to the Brazil Conference in Harvard, USA.
In 2023, the Tack Festival enters its 6th edition. This is a free event held in the Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden, with a whole day dedicated to workshops and innovative activities, and the announcement of the winning team of the Tack Challenge.
Multiplying Good
Based on the idea that knowledge is a tool for changing people's lives, the Multiplique o Bem (Multiplying Good) project aims to foster a more attractive and interactive teaching approach that encourages youth retention in schools.
This effort provides for the implementation of workshops for teaching robotics, game development, design, computer programming and animation in public schools for 250 students, as well as the training of 200 teachers and an annual competition involving 50 projects.
Literary Tourist
The Turista Literário (Literary Tourist) invites children and teenagers to take a journey into the fantastic world of reading. Held in public schools, this project involves drawing up a guided reading plan for teachers to work with.
Students are given a package that contains a book, sensory items and exclusive digital content. Meetings are also held to include recreational storytelling activities and reading mediation. Around 1,000 public school students are benefitted from the in-person or virtual activities that this project offers.
Corporate social responsibility and social impact
