OTC 2024: DPC takes part in the world's foremost oil and gas fair

As a major player in the industry, DPC was present at yet another edition of the fair to stay abreast of new developments and boost business opportunities

Doing business, networking, and keeping up with global energy trends. From May 6 to 9, Luciana Uchôa, President of DPC, attended the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) 2024 in Houston, U.SA., as part of the Brazilian delegation on this corporate mission.

With a significant number of participants, Brazil was represented at the latest edition of the OTC by 53 exhibiting companies, brought together by the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil).

“I was proud to take part in the inauguration of the Brazilian pavilion and to witness our country emerge as a leader in energy transition,” celebrated Uchôa.

DPC has been attending the event every year as a way of constantly keeping up with the latest trends and innovations in the oil, gas, and energy businesses, which account for a significant portion of the company’s client portfolio.

“We serve more than 100 domestic and international companies that operate in these segments. Keeping track of what is relevant to them allows us to better understand the challenges they are facing now and will encounter in the coming years. Business missions like this help us become even better prepared to advise our clients on their accounting, tax, and labor demands,” says Uchôa.

During the week, the president attended discussions on industry prospects and topics such as energy transition, new technologies, transformation in the O&G segment, and decarbonization.

According to a survey presented by Firjan at the OTC, the state of Rio de Janeiro has 99 projects in the oil, gas, energy, and maritime businesses, involving more than BRL 1 trillion in investments over the next few years.

“This reveals a huge potential for opportunities. As a company with a strong presence in this market, we are keen on continuing developing sector-specific solutions that foster the growth and operability of these businesses,” she said.

In addition to attending the fair, the executive participated in side events held by Firjan, FGV Energia, Zoom Out, Bratecc, and Drummond Advisors, where she exchanged experiences with numerous clients and partners.
