Domingues e Pinho Contadores supports Gol de Letra Foundation
Institution transforms the reality of children and young people from socially vulnerable communities through sports and education
Domingues e Pinho Contadores started 2018 expanding its support network for social projects. Through the Culture Incentive Law, the company chose to allocate part of taxes due to the municipality of Rio de Janeiro to Gol de Letra Foundation.
The institution’s main objective is to transform the reality of children and young people from socially vulnerable communities through sports and education, so that those who are assisted have more opportunities and perspectives for the future.
DPC team responsible for the selection was search for an institution that developed projects related to education and citizenship, and found in Gol de Letra Foundation the ideal initiative. The non-profit organization has added more than fifteen thousand services since its creation in 1998, contributing to a positive change in the areas where it maintains its activities.
At the foundation, the assistants are encouraged to develop personally and professionally, in order to broader their educational and cultural knowledge and become more prepared for a performance as citizen.
DPC has also been specifically supporting the Community Library project, which promotes reading and writing workshops for children from Caju community, in Rio de Janeiro city. This support will also make publication of the book "Gol de Letrinhas" possible at the end of the year, with children's stories written by the participants.
