DPC Director participates in panel on the challenges of the Accounting in an event at Senac RJ
Luciana Uchôa discussed with Samir Nehme, vice-president of CRC-RJ, and Renato Mansur, chairperson of SESCON RJ, questions about the use of technology for operational activities and the importance of having professionals with strategic thinking in the market.
Keeping up with technological developments is not an easy task for professionals whose work involves complex issues, such as in the area of Accounting. In order to meet the constant changes in legislation, technologies are a strong ally in the daily routine, making room for these professionals to follow in analyses that add value to the clients' businesses.
But what is the impact of this on offices and companies in the area? The discussion on the subject was promoted by Senac RJ last Thursday, May 23, and the director of Domingues e Pinho Contadores Luciana Uchôa was present at the debate with Samir Nehme, vice-president of CRC-RJ, and Renato Mansur, chairperson of SESCON RJ.
"These professions may be discontinued by 2030"
Based on an article in Exame magazine, the discussion started with a controversy: are the accountants and auditors destined to disappear? According to the article, two movements may influence these professionals: the automation of the processes and the blockchain use. "The evolution of technology is not a surprise to DPC. We always aimed at a personalized service, so we constantly invest in technology for operational work and focus on training to enable employees to be consultants, "said Luciana Uchôa.
In the course of the debate, the technological issue in the accounting environment and professional improvement remained on the table. The DPC’s director made an analysis demystifying a possible duel between robots and people. "Technology replaces the capture, processing, and transmission of data, but not their analysis. What will remain is the intellectual work where the accountant takes a position of an advisor partner in the discussion. The Accounting activity is indispensable in any company and it must be strategic. Therefore, professionals must be even closer to their clients, "said the director.
Continued education was also the theme of the panel. The invitees discussed the need for professionals to be up-to-date in order not to fall into obsolescence. "It is important to seek technical updating, but it is important to understand the market and the clients’ needs. This is the differential," explained the DPC representative.
The panel "“Os Desafios do Profissional de Contabilidade no Mundo 4.0" (The Challenges of Accounting Professional in the World) attracted professionals, executives, and students who filled the auditorium of Faculdade Senac RJ, located in the Center of Rio de Janeiro. "It is gratifying to see the glow in the eyes of the participants when we point out so many positive directions for their careers. Domingues e Pinho Contadores is a reference in the market and an event like this, which attracts a young audience and mixes with specialists, is a great opportunity to share our experience. After all, having well prepared professionals in the market, with business vision, is good for everyone," said the director.
