Deadline for quarterly CBE delivery approaches
The Brazilian Capitals Abroad (CBE) must be submitted by individuals and legal entities resident in the country who have assets abroad.
Considering the difficulties imposed by the Coronavirus pandemic, the deadline to report the CBE in the 1st quarter (March 31) was extended to July 15.
Who should report CBE?
Individuals or legal entities residing, domiciled or headquartered in Brazil, holders of monetary assets of any kind, assets and rights against non-residents, whose sum is equal to or greater than the equivalent to:
US$ 100.000.000,00 (one hundred million dollars), on the base dates of March 31, June 30 and September 30 of each base year, must complete the Quarterly CBE declaration.
Stay tuned to ensure that the deadline is respected. Failure to meet the obligation may result in penalties by the Central Bank.
