Digital Certificates: DPC is now a registration authority for issuance and renewal

Domingues e Pinho Contadores is now a registration authority (RA) qualified for issuing and renewing digital certificates. The company ranks among the registration authorities linked to ICP-Brasil, part of the National Institute of Information Technology which accredits those participating in the process of electronic identification.

In this capacity, DPC is now able to offer more comfort and agility to individuals and companies that need to obtain a digital certificate to safely authenticate procedures and documents in a digital environment – an increasingly common need.

Thanks to its registration agents, DPC provides guidance to its clients and performs the entire procedure for issuing or renewing their certificates.

Types of Digital Certificate

There are two types of digital certificate:

A1	A digital file is installed on the user's computer	Valid for 1 year
A3	Stored on cryptographic media (Smart Card or Token)	Valid for 1 year, 2 years and 3 years

Depending on the purpose, the following models may be used:

e-CPF	Used to prove an individual’s identity whenever an Individual Taxpayer Number (CPF) is required (e.g.: powers of attorney, agreements, settlement of pending issues with the tax authorities, and so forth).
e-CNPJ	Used by legal representatives of companies for signing documents and powers of attorney or for accessing information and services on government websites, among other purposes.
NF-e	Used solely for the issuance of Electronic Invoices, ensuring data authenticity.

Steps for issuing a digital certificate

Issuing or renewing a digital certificate is very easy and quick with DPC’s support. The first step is to contact us via the following e-mail: certificadoradpc@dpc.com.br.

Upon contacting us you should tell which type of certificate you need. Alternatively, you can have our registration agent guide you through the available options.

In-person attendance is only necessary if the interested parties do not have their biometric data registered with a State Department of Motor Vehicles (Detran) or with ICP-Brasil, and for requesting token or card-based certificates. For those who are already registered as such, the process may be performed through videoconferencing.
