DPC Transforma: 264 basic food baskets donated in the campaign #CORONANOPAREDÃO #FOMENÃO

DPC's team united with Gerando Falcões to bring food and hope to the hungry

Social inequality and hunger have increased during the current pandemic. Bringing food and hope to those who are experiencing this tough reality was Domingues e Pinho Contadores' motivation to join the NGO Gerando Falcões in the campaign #CORONANOPAREDÃO #FOMENÃO!

The company called its employees for action, seeking to spread this solidarity network and collect digital basic food baskets. The answer from the internal public was very positive, resulting in 240 donations. As a complementary initiative, DPC added 24 baskets to the amount (10% more), increasing it to 264 donations.

This action is one of the DPC Transforma initiatives, Domingues e Pinho's social and environmental responsibility program.

Gerando Falcões, which created the campaign, brings resources to the campaign and works as a bridge, directing the donations, also made by other companies and citizens, to families suffering from hunger. The distribution is carried out by more than 360 member institutions in "favelas" and communities all over the country.

In practice, the donated values are converted to cards that can be used for purchasing food and hygiene products. This also benefits local economy, since the families may shop in small businesses nearby.
