Green hydrogen: a promising source for energy transition
DPC's executive team seeks training in green hydrogen to prepare for new energy scenario
The climate crisis is a reality and its growing effects have driven the bet on carbon-free energy. Green hydrogen , a clean and renewable alternative, is revealed as a promising source in international strategies for energy transition.
Several countries have acted to reduce dependence on oil and other fossil fuels, an effort that leads to research on new energy generation sources.
In this context, hydrogen started to be seen as a renewable fuel alternative, capable of decarbonising sectors responsible for a large volume of carbon emissions.
DPC leaders prepared for the future of energy
From September to October, DPC directors attend the extension course “Hydrogen and Energy Transition”, promoted by the Brazil-Germany Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Rio de Janeiro (AHK Rio), in association with the Electric Sector Study Group (GESEL/UFRJ).
This is one of the initiatives aimed at preparing the DPC executive team to meet the demands of a segment undergoing wide transformation.
