Innovative Leadership: DPC gathers its managers from Rio and São Paulo to renew management practices
Rethinking DPC from modern management tools and sharing the teachings of an immersion held at the Disney’s magic universe. On August 3 and 4, with these objectives, company’s managers met at the event "The magic of innovative leadership", in Rio de Janeiro, which promises to be a milestone of business.
On the first day of activities, Claudio Tosta, a professor at FGV, consultant, and speaker, conducted the works, raising topics such as coexistence between different generations at the corporate environment, new trends and technologies, and how companies and people can deal with the scenario of increasing transformations. "Remaining rigid at changes is like using a squeegee to face a tsunami", he said.

The stage stimulated the participation of leaders around the issues presented, addressing new ways to perceive the DPC’s business and analyze differentials, strategic partners, practices, and relationship channels, among other aspects.
The DPC members Karine Lammel and William Pinho were responsible to continue the event in the following day. The professionals, who were part of the group that was in Orlando for immersion in the Disney’s management model, reported the experience and lessons learned from this case.
Behind the magic of Disney, there is a lot of work and responsibility shared among the employees that delivery of the best customer service is up to everyone. Some of the key items, such as organizational culture, quality of service, fascination, and leadership empowerment were base for inspiring the proposed dynamics.
During the exercises, the participants raised a series of ideas related to topics such as people, culture, technology and innovation, infrastructure, clients and marketing. Everyone discussed the suggestions during the event, but the pair will analyze them more accurately.
"This is just the beginning of a work to extract the viable contributions that may generate effective improvements for our business, influencing the internal environment and results in the services quality", said Karine Lammel. She explains that the participants will revisit the generated content later this month and it is expected that, in short and medium term, positive changes can be implemented in the DPC’s routine.
