IOF –  Zero Rate Credit Operations

The Decree 10.377, of May-27-2020 – (DOU, of May-28-2020) - Amends the Decree 6.306/2007, which deciplines the Tax on Credit, Exchange and Insurance Operations, or related to Marketable Securities (IOF), reducing the IOF rates to zero in credit operations, which are:

a) made through the Studies and Projects Financier (Financiadora de Estudos e Projetos – “FINEP”) or through its financial agents, with funds from this public company;

b) intended to financing logistics infrastructure projects aimed at road and railroad works object of concession by the federal government; and

c) contracted by the Electric Energy Trading Chamber (CCEE), intended to cover, in whole or in part, the deficit and the anticipation of revenue, incurred by the concessionaires and permit holders of the public electricity distribution service.
