Jucerja warns that inactive companies may lose the right to use their corporate name

The settlement of the registration status must be done by December 31

The Board of Trade of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Jucerja) may consider more than 23 thousand companies inactive, if their registration status is not settled by December 31, 2020.

The inactivation comes when the company is more than ten years with no communications or registration changes at Jucerja. If the situation is not corrected, the entrepreneur will lose the exclusivity of using the corporate name.

When this is the case, an operating communication document must be registered in order to guarantee the registration of the business name for another 10 years.
