Legislation determines the distancing of pregnant employees from face-to-face work


The Law 14.151, published in Official Gazette, on May 13, determines the distancing of pregnant women from face-to-face work during the validity of the public health emergency situation due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The employee must remain distant from the on-site activities with no prejudice to the remuneration. The performance of the pregnant woman through telework, remote work or other form of working at a distance is permitted.

The standard is effective at its publication date: May 13, 2021.

It is important to highlight that no deadline has been set to end the applicability of the measure, considering that the end of the National Public Health Emergency situation has not been established so far.
