CBE must be submitted to Bacen until 09/05

Individuals and legal entities with US$ 100 million or more abroad must present the CBE

The quarterly statement of Brazilian Capital Abroad (Capitais Brasileiros no Exterior - CBE), mandatory to individuals and legal entities who have assets abroad in the amount of US$ 100 million or more, or the equivalent to that in other currencies, must be presented to the Central Bank of Brazil until September 5, at 6 p.m. This statement concerns the reference date June 31, 2021.

What information must be included

The statement of assets abroad includes information regarding the following modalities:

I – deposit;

II – currency loan;

III – financing;

IV – leasing;

V – direct investment;

VI – portfolio investment;

VII – investment in derivative financial instruments;

VIII – other investments, including real estate and other assets.

Penalties

It is worth highlighting that non compliance or presentation of incomplete, incorrect or false information may result in fines of BRL 2.5 to 250 thousand, with the possibility of a 50% increase.
