RFB enables filing documents in services requests
The RFB Ordinance 2860, published in the Official Gazette of Oct-27-2017, exempts notarization in a document filed to the Federal Revenue of Brazil (RFB), it would suffice the taxpayer submit the original or certified copy to enable the signature reading back by an public server to whom the document is filed.
A single copy of document filed to obtain services under RFB must be together with the original document in order to enable its authentication by the public server.
Exceptions:
1) When there is reasonable doubt about the authenticity of the signature on it.
2) If there is legal obligation.
If any
signature forgery in a public or private document is found
at any time, the office will consider the documentary requirements not satisfy
and shall inform the fact to the authority within a fixed 5 days period from
the checking, to start criminal proceedings.
