Salary Transparency Report: DPC helps companies in adapting and remaining in good standing
In addition to completing the report, DPC guides businesses in complying with equal pay standards
Law 14.611/2023 mandates that companies with more than 100 employees complete the Salary Transparency and Remuneration Criteria Report every six months. For the first submission, which was due earlier this year, employers were required to provide information on a myriad of topics to the federal government between January and March 2024.
Faced with this new requirement, some clients sought specialized support, and DPC readily embraced this challenge, assembling a cross-functional team to guide them through various fronts.
Challenges far beyond filling requirements
Companies brought up questions on how to comply with the rules, and expressed their uncertainties and concerns about labor risks, eventual fines, and the need to define longer-term strategies, including establishing or changing their HR policies.
“In addition to filling in the forms, one should be mindful of the strategies for supplying information, which should strengthen policies that display an effective commitment to equal pay,” warns Marcelo Leite, head of HR at DPC.
In addition to the employee data extracted from eSocial to complete the document, companies should address questions related to career path frameworks, pay guidelines, policies to encourage the hiring of women, and the criteria for promotion to management positions.
The report outlines that some companies are required to define, change, or adapt their policies for employee recruitment, development, and remuneration. “The challenge in general is for businesses to understand where their gaps are and what actions can be taken to mitigate or even eliminate these gaps,” says the expert.
Specific needs, unique solutions
With an integrated approach, DPC assembled a team of professionals from HR, payroll department, and ancillary obligations to support companies in meeting immediate legal requirements and to provide recommendations for adjusting their personnel policies.
With an integrated approach, DPC assembled a team of professionals from HR, payroll department, and ancillary obligations to support companies in meeting immediate legal requirements and to provide recommendations for adjusting their personnel policies.
The HR team advised businesses on compliance guidelines. “We tailored our consulting services to an even higher level as each client had specific demands, showing varying levels of development regarding pay equity and each of them raised their own questions specific to their segment,” says Leite.
A customized approach was then taken, identifying challenges and possible areas for improvement.
One of the companies advised was instructed to build a career path framework that accounted for market standards, previous job experience, and professional skills. Another company, facing the challenge of balancing the workforce between men and women in a predominantly male environment, was recommended to invest in recruitment, selection, and leadership programs specifically aimed at women. Another business was instructed to foster policies aligned with the report's themes and adapt the guidelines set by its global headquarters to the Brazilian context.

Clients expressed their satisfaction and sense of security in relying on solutions that mitigated labor risks and prevented fines. For them, DPC’s assistance was insightful and brought peace of mind regarding their good standing with legal requirements, once again reinforcing the company’s reputation as a reliable partner for labor compliance.
“Like these companies, every employer must prepare and implement changes so that their next reports reflect the progress they have made towards equal pay,” says the HR leader, noting that the next report is due in September 2024 .
