Every year, companies and self-employed professionals engaged in commercial, industrial, or service activities related to individual or public health must renew their sanitary licensing, a requirement to continue operating in the municipality of Rio de Janeiro. For 2025, the final deadline for this renewal is April 30.

This compliance process involves the payment of a fee. It is important to highlight that failing to obtain or delaying the Sanitary Licensing Permit may result in penalties.
