The Federal Revenue Service changes the deadline for the monthly submission of DCTFWeb
On February 7, the Federal Revenue Service issued Regulatory Instruction RFB No. 2,248, amending IN No. 2,237/2024, which regulates the Declaration of Federal Tax Liabilities and Credits – DCTFWeb.
With the new regulation, the final deadline for submitting DCTFWeb, previously set for the 25th of the month following the occurrence of taxable events, is now extended to the last business day of the month following the occurrence of taxable events.
Exceptionally, for the taxable events of January 2025, the submission of the declaration has been extended to the last business day of March 2025, ensuring that taxpayers have more time to adapt to the requirement.
This extension meets the request of accounting entities, given the announced changes and uncertainties related to certain aspects of the transmission of this tax obligation.
Understand what is happening
Starting in January of this year, the Declaration of Federal Tax Liabilities and Credits will be in the DCTFWeb version, replacing the DCTF PGD (Debt Generator Program). This new version includes additional features aimed at unifying the fulfillment of ancillary obligations.
For the taxes previously declared in DCTF PGD, the Federal Revenue Service will provide the Tax Inclusion Module (MIT) via e-CAC. Since this tool is not yet available, the deadline extension established by IN RFB 2,248/2025 ensures a reasonable approach to complying with ancillary obligations starting from the reference month of January 2025.
